I think Riley is calling it day zero. But I think it's Day 1.
Breakfasted, got dressed (some of us with more enthusiasm than others), tied the Prius on the towdolly (oh, a mere 45 minutes and almost lost the front bumper) and we were on our way around 9:30. Tied the straps around the wheels again but differently at the first rest stop. It stayed put the rest of the day. In fact, it may well stay put for the rest of its life, it's tied down so tight now.
New London: crossed the bridge over the ? river, Elliot is so impressed by its size: "It's a BOAT river!"
We drove route 95 to 295 to 95 to 287, Tappan Zee bridge, more 287, to 78 to 81. We're stopping overnight in Carlisle, just south of Harrisburg PA. It's chilly enough but no snow. This is good because we really, really don't like winter camping... Unfortunately we got here after the lady from the office left, and I can't find an open bathroom building. I so wanted a hot shower...
