March 30

and writing it on March 31st. That's because we got home to New England yesterday. The journey is over! And so is the great weather. It's snowing. *Sigh*

We made it all the way to the east side of the Tappan Zee bridge Tuesday night. We got so close to New York, and thought, get to the good side at night when it's quiet on the road, then we don't have to fight the NY traffic in the morning. And that worked very well. From rte 78 in New Jersey to 287 in New York, over the bridge, to rte 95.
We were up early at our customary WalMart parking lot, mostly because the RV "house" batteries were as dead as door nails and the sleepnumber bed was very flat too. But the batteries for the engine were fine, so it started as it should and off we were. We made it to Rhode Island by 10 and started thinking, if we get to the campground so early, will they charge us an extra day? Probably not, but all the same, we thought to end our trip appropriately with some ocean and beach. Onto rte 1, and Opa fielded a conference call from a little beach parking lot with view, while I sat in the sun on a sheltered bit of sand, listened to the waves, and watched a few sea ducks on the ocean.
The last bit of the trip went via rte 295 around Providence, and back on 95 to Foxboro. After we registered  and parked rthe RV we went and had super lovely hot showers - first showers in three days. And then we got started on the visits to reacquaint ourselves with our kids and grandkids. Opa went back to work in Reading. So the trip ends.

Now, as soon as I'm caught up on laundry and dishes and mail, a different adventure will start. It will have its own blog too. I'll call it something like, "How's the new house coming along", or, "What's with the building project", or, eh, hmmm. I'll think of something. Feel free to send suggestions!
